We are based in modern purpose built air-conditioned premises with easy access to some of the UKs major road networks. We also strive to stay ahead of market trends and new industry regulations. Birtwistle has gained a BRC Grade A Accreditation one of the highest awards in the industry.
Birtwistle Catering Butchers is a fourth generation family business with over 100 years within the meat and farming industries. We offer first class quality of products and excellent standard of service that we feel is unrivalled in this very demanding industry. We have grown in to and gained this reputation by our continual efforts to stay ahead within the ever-changing foodservice industry. All products are prepared in our plant daily to each client’s specifications. Packaged and labelled to and above legislation and then delivered direct throughout the UK. Our clients are very varied and including Hotels independent and Groups, Pub and Restaurants independent and groups and the Education sector. Deliveries are both Radial and Composite or a mixture of both.
ABS Wholesale Meats & Poultry is a wholly owned subsidiary of the group, which fully supports our catering division as well as supplying other catering butchers and retail sites throughout the UK. ABS buy live cattle, sheep, lambs and pigs direct from livestock markets and chosen suppliers this ensures that we can supply full trace-ability and give confidence of farm gate to plate.
Entwistle Bacon Co is a long established supplier with an excellent name for Quality and Service that has been a recent acquisition by the group. This has enhanced all parts of the group with the products that they can now supply.
